The first weight refers to the lowest billable weight. If the weight of the package is within the range of the first weight, the cost is calculated based on the price of the first weight. Continued weight refers to the part that exceeds the first weight.
Each courier company like UPS / FedEx or DHL has a packing size/weight limit. If the weight of the product exceeds the weight limit, freight surcharge will be added according to the price agreement signed with the courier company. One of suggestion is to separate big packages from small packages, which means big package will be sent by one shipment ,and small package will be sent by another shipment respectively, to avoid huge surcharge from courier company.
All shipping methods are based on the local Customs’ law and regulations. We are not responsible for any seizure of goods by the Customs. Due to Customs restrictions, such as tobacco, alcohol, medicine, and contraband are not accepted. According to the requirements of courier company, food, liquid, granular, and paste goods, these items are sensitive items that the Customs require lots of qualified Non-DG documents and identification. If it is a small amount of sensitive goods, Abuy1.com will arrange shipment but surcharge from courier company will be added. Also transit time will be longer than general cargos.
The volume weight is mainly reflected in the freight. When the volume of an item is too large while the weight is too light, then its volume will be converted into weight on which the freight is charged during transportation. The formula for calculating the volume weight of air cargo is: The packing size of the cargo (length (cm) × width (cm) × height (cm)) / 5000 = volume weight (kg), that is to say, 5000 cubic centimeters of cargo is equivalent to 1 kg, or 1 cubic meter of goods shall be calculated to 200 kilograms.
